SUMMARY:Housing\, Equity\, and Community Series - Part 1: Homelessness in Los Angeles
DESCRIPTION:Tens of thousands of Angelenos\, including families with children\, are without homes every night. Many more are on the brink of homelessness. In response to this crisis\, both the County and City of Los Angeles recently passed funding measures intended to provide new and needed services and resources. \nWe will explore the issue of homelessness\, and the response of local institutions\, from three different perspectives: a Skid Row resident and activist\, a developer of permanent supportive housing\, and UCLA’s own BruinShelter.
