The Attica Prison Uprising of 1971 and Why it Matters Today

On Thursday, November 30, 2017, at 4 PM at the UCLA Faculty Center, Heather Ann Thompson, Professor of History and Afro-American and African Studies at University of Michigan, will discuss her Pulitzer Prize winning book, Blood in the Water: The Attica Prison Uprising of 1971 and its Legacy.

RSVP recommended due to limited seating. The event is free and open to the public. Parking can be purchased at Parking Structure 2 (Manning Drive & Charles E Young Drive East). UCLA is a Smoke and Tobacco-Free campus.
