Professor Barbara Ransby delivered the Distinguished Lecture in Ideas and Organizing as part of the Luskin Lecture Series. Author of Ella Baker and the Black Freedom Movement: A Radical Democratic Vision and Eslanda: The Large and Unconventional Life of Mrs. Paul Robeson, Professor Ransby spoke on a climate of fear, intimidation and guilt by association that is on the rise today, hallmarks of what she referred to as “a new McCarthyism.” Read more about the program here.
